The Pharmacy Council of India vide its notification dated 21st March 2022 has issued clarification on duration of inspection of pharmacy institutions.
The duration of the inspection shall be for 2 days and since most of the institutions are running all 5 pharmcy course simultaneously (D.pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Pharm.D and B.Pharm) in one institution there shall be in-depth physical verification of the facilities.
Further PCI has directed the inspectors to verify the availability of the claimed infrastructure facilities in the Standard Inspection Format (SIF) by the institutions including faculty position and the following are to be carefully seen:
· Infrastructure facilities like building, laboratories and lecture halls.
· Teaching staff availability
· Equipments (number, working or not) purchase bill, stock entries etc
· Coverage of course curriculum
· Number of exercises conducted
· Maintenance of all kinds of record.
