The State Government of Tripura vide its notification dated 12th November 2020 has issued the procedure and checklist for inspection under legal metrology act guided by the central inspection system as provisioned in the single window approved by all government agencies in Tripura (SWAAGAT) portal.
The inspection for high risk category shall be once in 6 months and for medium risk category it shall be once in 12 months and for low risk category it shall be once in 18months the establishments shall be selected randomly for inspection and allocation of inspection. Randomization shall be done by CIS.
The report of the inspection shall be submitted online to the CIS within 48 hours of inspection and shall allow the users to view and download inspection report of at least for past 3 years.
