The State Government of Tamil Nadu vide its press release dated 22nd April 2021 directed private industries, restaurant owners, construction workers, interstate migrants to assure 100 per cent vaccination to their employees above the age of 18 years with the help of private hospitals from May 1.
Further, all sections of people in the 18-45 years age group, including those working at markets, traders, vendors, auto and taxi drivers, government employees, school and college teachers, and transport workers, would be covered during this massive drive and the vaccination will continue as before in the government vaccination centres free of cost to the eligible population above 45 years.
