The Central Government has issued a notification modifying four transmission schemes for implementation under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB). This notification was issued on 7th November, 2023.
The notification revises the scope of the following schemes as under:
- Transmission Scheme for Solar Energy Zone in Bidar (2500 MW), Karnataka
- Establishment of 765/400 kV 3×1500 MVA, 400/220 kV 5×500 MVA pooling station at suitable border location near Bidar with 765 kV (1×240 MVAR) and 400 kV (1×125 MVAR) Bus Reactor.
- Bidar PS – Maheshwaram (PG) 765 kV D/C line
- 2 nos. of 765 kV line bays at Maheshwaram (PG) GIS substation for termination of Bidar PS – Maheshwaram (PG) GIS 765 kV D/C line and
- 765 kV, 1×240 MVAR Switchable Line Reactor for each circuit at Bidar PS end & Maheshwaram (PG) end of Bidar PS- Maheshwaram (PG) GIS 765 kV D/C line
POWERGRID shall provide space for 2 no. of 765 kV line bays with provision for 240 MVAr
SLR at Maheshwaram (PG) substation for termination of Bidar PS – Maheshwaram (PG) 765 kV
D/c line
- Transmission System for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Pat D
- Sikar-II – Khetri 765 kV D/c line
- Sikar-II – Narela 765 kV D/c line along with 240 MVAr Switchable line reactor for each circuit at each end of Sikar-II – Narela 765 kV D/c line
- 765 kV line bays at Sikar –II for Sikar-II – Khetri 765 kV D/c line and Sikar-II – Narela 765 kV D/ line
- 2 nos. of 765 kV line bays at both Khetri and Narela S/s
- Transmission System for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part I
Revised commissioning schedule is 48 months for Bipole-I and 54 months for Bipole-2
- Transmission Scheme for integration of Renewable Energy Zone (Phase-II) in Koppal-II (Phase-B) in Karnataka
Implementation schedule of Transmission Scheme is reduced from 36 months to 24 months
