Guidelines under “operation greens” for short term intervention for eligible fruits and vegetables

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries on 27.11.2020 has issued guidelines under “operation greens” – a scheme for integrated development of Tomato, Onion and Potato Value Chain – for short term intervention for eligible fruits and vegetables. The guidelines provides for:

  • Extension of the scheme to all fruits and vegetables
  • 50% subsidy on transportation and storage for providing fruits and vegetables to deficient markets.
  • pilot for 6 months will be expanded and extended
