The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals vide order dated 25th November, 2022 has issued the Vinyl Acetate Monomer (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2022. The parent order shall come into force on the 31st day of May, 2023.
As per the order, manufacturers and dealers of Vinyl Acetate Monomer shall comly with the parameters issued by BIS. The latest version of the Indian Standards including the amendments issued thereof and notified by the Bureau of Indian Standards from time to time shall apply.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of Vinyl Acetate Monomer.
