The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board vide its notification dated 11th May 2020 has issued guidelines for dairy units, since the release of dung and urine from dairy or cowsheds into sewer blocks the drainage system, and the rives gets polluted, therefore, the UP PCB has issued the following guidelines:
- Setting up of Dairy/cowshed in rural and urban areas need permission from the concerned departments.
- The solid waste generated out of animals must not be released into drainage and sewers lines if the alternatives like making, biogas, compost fertilizers or making medicines and fertilizers or in gardens is available.
