Bullying is a serious issue that involves repeated aggressive behavior—whether verbal, physical, or social—intended to cause physical, emotional, or psychological harm. It often exploits a power imbalance between the bully and the victim, making it difficult for the victim to defend themselves. Bullying can happen both in person and online, with severe consequences for everyone involved. Although India lacks a specific law addressing bullying, various legal provisions cover aspects of this behavior. Schools are pivotal in preventing bullying by creating a safe, inclusive environment, enforcing zero-tolerance policies, and establishing Anti-Bullying Committees (ABCs). These efforts, combined with ongoing collaboration among students, educators, parents, and government bodies, are crucial in fostering a supportive atmosphere where children can learn and grow without fear of harassment. Creating awareness, providing training, and offering support are key strategies in the fight against bullying, ensuring a safer future for all students. This notification was published on 29/04/2024.
