UGC Requests Higher Educational Institutions to Host Meditation and Mental Health Sessions

The Ministry of Culture on 24 November 2022 has collaborated with the Art of Living foundation and launched a campaign “Har Ghar Dhyan” to conduct one hour introductory sessions on meditation and mental health. This campaign is launched under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The modules of this programme are developed by Ravi Shankar, the founder of Art of Living. The sessions will be conducted by trained faculty from the Art of Living and shall be open to people from all walks of life free of cost.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has requested higher educational institutions and their affiliated colleges/ institutions to host these introductory sessions on meditation and mental health.

The higher educational institutions and their affiliated colleges/ institutions are requested to encourage students and faculty members to take benefit of this programme. Each university/ college may fill up the request form on tiny.cc/hgd-college.

The university/ college may nominate a senior faculty /staff as “Meditation Ambassador” for this programme. The Art of Living will directly contact and coordinate with the nominated meditation ambassadors to conduct these sessions.
