The University Grants Commission (UGC) has notified the list of Category-I HEIs (Higher Educational Institutions) entitled to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL). These HEIs are entitled to offer ODL programmes for academic year 2023-2024 , beginning from January- February, 2023. This notice was issued on 16th March, 2023.
Category-I HEIs that were willing to offer programmes under ODL from Jan-Feb 2023 academic session had to submit information to UGC along with affidavits for ensuring compliance to all the provisions of the University Grants Commission Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations 2020 and its amendments.
Hence, based on the information furnished, the UGC has notified the list of Category-I HEIs along with the programmes found in compliance with the said regulations.
