UGC on May 2, 2023 clarified that the National Education Policy, 2020 envisions the establishment of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), a national-level facility that will be a bank for academic purposes with students as academic account holders.
The current model of data sharing through API integration has not been successful in uploading the necessary data to ABC. Therefore, all academic institutes are directed to upload data directly to the National Academic Depository (NAD) Digi locker for the successful implementation of ABC.
