University Grants Commission on March 08, 2024 has directed for Implementation of Guidelines “Accessibility Guidelines and Standards for Higher Education Institutions and Universities”. With a view to improve the participation and learning experiences of persons with disabilities in HEIS and also to achieve the goals of NEP 2020 and provisions of Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016, The Ministry of Education has notified E-Gazette of “Accessibility Guidelines and Standards for Higher Education Institutions and Universities”, which will play a very significant role in making our HEIs accessible.
HEIs are requested to take necessary steps for implementation of the “Accessibility Guidelines and Standards for Higher Education Institutions and Universities” (available on UGC website) in your esteemed University and also in the affiliated/constituent Colleges in the best interest of Divyangian.
