University Grants Commission on 4th November, 2024 has announced the Ph.D. Excellence Citation. UGC announces this citation to honour young researchers for their significant contributions to their field of study through their research leading to Ph.D. degrees.
All Vice Chancellors are directed to bring the guidelines to the notice of eligible research scholars and, by following the procedure outlined in the guidelines, shortlist them and nominate them for citation on the portal, which will open on 1st January 2025.
In an effort to promote good quality research in Indian Universities, the UGC has instituted the “Ph.D. Excellence Citation” to identify and felicitate the winners from different streams annually.
