TRAI Drive tests for Key Performance Indicators of telecom service providers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on 18 July 2023 releases report on Drive tests conducted at following twenty locations and surrounding areas:

2. Erode
3. Vizianagaram
4. Gangtok
5. Aizawl
6. Dimapur
7. Shillong
8. Itanagar
9. Jabalpur
10. Prayagraj
11. Wayanad
12. Gandhidham & Kandla port
13. Bikaner
14. Amritsar
15. Mysuru
16. Mysuru-Bengaluru HW
17. Jabalpur-Chakghat HW
18. Prayagraj-Banda HW
19. Bikaner-Nagaur
20. HWand Amritsar-Pathankot HW.

The Drive tests were conducted to assess the network quality provided by cellular mobile telephone service providers for voice and data services. The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)were assessed for the networks of all telecom service providers operating in the region.

KPIs for voice services are:

1. Coverage
2. Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR)
3. Drop Call Rate
4. Block Call Rate
5. Handover Success Rate
6. Rx Quality
7. KPls for data services are Download and Upload Throughputs
8. Web Browsing Delay
9. Video Streaming Delay
10. Latency.
