The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on 24th August 2022, has published the Hydrogen Peroxide (Quality Control) Order, 2022 which shall come into force from 22nd November 2022.
As per the order, Hydrogen peroxide shall conform to the India standard of IS 2080: 2021 and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the goods or article specified in this order and if any person contravenes the provisions of this order shall be punishable under the provisions of the said Act.
