The government of West Bengal extends COVID-19 restrictions till 31st August.

The State Government of West Bengal on 13th August 2021 has extended the ongoing Covid-19 related restrictions till 31st August with some new relaxations to contain the spread of the infection.

The Additional relaxation allows the shops and establishments including restaurants and bars which were previously allowed to remain open till 8 pm, shall now remain in operational till 10.30 pm.

All outdoor activities including movement of people and vehicles shall be strictly prohibited between 11 pm to 5 am except for health services, law and order, essential commodities including agricultural products and other emergency services.

Further, Theatre Halls, Sadans, Manchas, Auditoriums, and open-air theatres for cultural activities has also been allowed to open with not more than 50% of seating capacity.

Employers/management bodies/owners/supervisors of all offices, establishments, and workplaces shall be responsible for the provisioning of all COVID safety measures including regular sanitization of work places, vaccination of employees, and for compliance of stated directives and COVID appropriate norms.
