The State Government of Tripura vide its notification dated 9th November 2020 has decided to introduce auto renewal of registration/license under the legal metrology act and provisions have been made on the SWAAGAT portal for online submission and processing of an application for registration of packer of pre-packed commodities and license for manufacture of weight and measures.
However, renewal is not required for registration of packer of pre-packed commodities and the license to manufacture weight and measures shall be auto-renewed through SWAAGAT portal subject to online payment of prescribed fee within the timeline specified under the Tripura Legal Metrology Enforcement Rules, 2011.
