The Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department of Gujarat vide its notification dated 30th January 2021 has published the Gujarat Legal Metrology (Enforcement) (Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the Gujarat Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011.
The Amendment is brought under rule 11(4) which deals with the validity of the license and automatic renewal in which Every license issued to a manufacturer, repairer, or a dealer in weights and measures shall be valid up to 60 months and shall be automatically renewed, for a period of sixty months on payment of such fees as specified in the Schedule IV.
