The Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 25th June 2021 has notified the Draft Gas Cylinders (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2021 and the ministry has invited objections or suggestions from the public which shall be addressed to the Additional Secretary (Explosives), Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Room No. 135, Udyog Bhawan New Delhi – 110011 or sent by email (sushil.satpute@nic.in) within 30 days.
Through this amendment it is notified that all the high-pressure cylinders and Cryogenic containers used for filling Non-Toxic, Non-Flammable Gases and Liquids shall have permanent and tamperproof marking in form of QR code at a conspicuous place on cylinders.
