The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India through notification dated 10th September, 2021 has issued the Food Safety and Standards (Labeling and Display) First Amendment Regulations, 2021. As per the amendment, every package containing an admixture of edible oils shall carry a label declaration in bold capital letter immediately below its brand name or trade name on the front of pack which shall contain its name, nature of edible oil and percentage by weight.
There shall also be a declaration that it should not be sold loose.
