The Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 7th October 2021 has published the Flat Transparent Sheet Glass (Quality Control) Order, 2021 which shall come into force from 1st April 2022.
The Flat Transparent Sheet Glass shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard (IS 2835: 1987) and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau as per Scheme I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcement authority for the Flat Transparent Sheet Glass.
