The Central Motor Vehicles ( Draft Amendment) Rules, 2021.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 30th September 2021 has published the Central Motor Vehicles ( Draft Amendment) Rules, 2021 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

The Amendment is brought under SECTION 115A which deals with Emission of smoke and vapour from “agricultural tractors and construction equipment vehicles driven by diesel engines in which under sub-rule (10), under table 2, in item (XVII) the following proviso has been inserted, namely:

Provided that the vehicles manufactured before the date of applicability of CEV Stage- IV and CEV Stage- V shall be registered up to eight months and six months respectively, after the respective date of implementation of this rule.
