The Government of Bihar on 17th November, 2023 issued a notification for the enactment of the Bihar Appropriation Act, 2023. This Act is enacted to authorize payment and appropriation of certain amounts from and out of the consolidated Fund of the State of Bihar for the services during the year ending on the 31st March, 2024.
The State was allocated an amount of Rs.-26086,35,97,000 (Rs. Twenty Six thousand Eighty Six crore Thirty Five lac and Ninty Seven thousand), which may be withdrawn from The Consolidated Fund of The State of Bihar.
These funds will be used to meet various expenses to be incurred related to the payment during the year commencing from 01 April, 2023 in relation to the services mentioned in column-2 of the Schedule of this Act as well as be appropriated in respect of them. The services include Agriculture Department, Animal and Fisheries Resource Department, Building Construction Department, Cabinet Secretariat Department, etc.
This Act shall come into force with effect from 1st April 2023.
