The Government of Andhra Pradesh on 23rd November 2022, has published the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, Vidyut Ombudsman and Consumer Assistance) Regulation, 2016) Third Amendment Regulation, 2022.

Through this amendment a new regulation 13.11 has been notified as follows:

The licensee may file an application before the Forum for review of the order passed by the latter on the discovery that the said order is in contravention of the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, GTCS, Retail Supply Tariff Orders and other extant Acts, Regulations, Rules and Orders of the Commission. The licensee shall clearly state in the application the grounds for the review accompanied by such documents and supporting data to substantiate such review. The application for review shall be filed by the licensee within thirty (30) days of the date of the order.

The Forum, before disposing of the review, shall provide an opportunity for the opposite party(ies)/complainant(s) to be heard. The Forum shall dispose of the Review petition with utmost expedition and communicate the review orders to all the parties in the case before it and also to the Commission, within three (3) working days of the date of such orders.”
