The Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 8th December 2021 has published the Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressors and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2021.
Through this amendment the date for enforcement of the said order has been extended from 1st January, 2022 to 1st January, 2023.
It has been made compulsory under Air Conditioner and its related Parts, Hermetic Compressor and Temperature Sensing Controls (Quality Control) Order, 2019, to get ISI certification from BIS.
Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or article meant for export.
