Tea Board Offices To Be Closed on Election Days

The Tea Board of India has issued a memorandum outlining the closure of their offices on polling days. This Office Memorandum was issued on April 4, 2024.

This is in view of the upcoming 18th General Elections to the House of the People (Parliamentary Elections) along with Legislative Assemblies of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha & Sikkim.

The memorandum states that zonal, regional and sub-regional offices of the Tea Board will be closed on the respective dates of polls of the concerned Parliamentary/Assembly constituencies in which those offices are situated.

The document also details a policy for granting special leave to officials working outside their constituencies on election day. These officials can apply for leave to cast their votes.
