The amended guidelines now offer incentives for the production of 750,000 MT per year. This target was initially fixed at 550,000 metric tonnes (MT) of green ammonia per year. The MNRE has also indicated the possibility of further increasing this target based on future demand.

Certain Renewable Energy Plants To Be Exempt From ALMM & RLMM Requirements
Renewable energy plants located within Special Economic Zones (SEZs) or Export Oriented Units (EOUs) will be exempt from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) requirements for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM) requirements for wind turbine models. These exemptions apply to all qualifying renewable energy plants commissioned by December 31, 2030.

Ministry of Coal Advocates Clean Coal Technologies to Drive Sustainable Energy Transition
To spearhead the transition towards cleaner coal technologies, the Government has launched several initiatives, notably the Coal Gasification Mission. To facilitate these initiatives, a financial assistance scheme has been proposed to promote Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects by Government PSUs and the Private Sector, with an allocation of ₹8500 crores earmarked for incentives.
