PCI extends deadline for completion of Approval and Appeal Process

The last date for completion of the approval process for existing and new institutions is fixed as up to 31st October, 2023. Furthermore, the last date for completion of the appeals and compliance process is fixed as 30th November, 2023. Additionally, the period for counselling shall stand extended up to 31st December, 2023.

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has extended the deadline for the completion of approval and appeal process for existing institutions. This notice was issued on 4th October, 2023. Therefore, the last date for completion of the approval process for existing institutions has now been fixed as 31st October, 2023. Furthermore, the last date for completion of the appeal process has now been fixed as 30th November, 2023.

The celebration of pharmacists day is a valuable tool to promote the profession and honour the crucial role played by pharmacists in improving global outcomes. The theme of this years’ pharmacists day is, ‘Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems- Angdaan Mahadan’.

PCI requests Participation in State Handloom Expo.

The circular states that the Expo is an exhibition-cum-sales of genuine and quality handloom products directly by weavers. This Expo is being held from 17th August, 2023 till 30th August, 2023 from 10am to 7pm.

PCI requests details of Specified M. Pharm. Candidates

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has requested the details of M. Pharm. Candidates who have passed in various specialisations after 2014 which are neither covered under Appendix A of the Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) Course Regulations, 2014 nor in the approved equivalence of specialisations/ subjects of M. Pharm. This circular was dated 4th August, 2023.

PCI issues Circular on Admission in Pharmacy Courses

PCI also emphasises that the admission qualification (10+2 science academic stream with physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology) to various pharmacy courses is mandatory in nature. Hence, verification of this basic qualification (10+2) is also mandatory. PCI has directed that all admission making authorities shall strictly verify the 10+2 documents of candidates before taking admission in any Pharmacy Courses.
