The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a notice urging all pharmacy institutions to monitor Anti-Ragging measures as per University Grants Commission (UGC) directions. The UGC has issued comprehensive regulations on curbing the menance of ragging in higher educational institutions. These regulations are applicable to all institutions across the country. This notice was issued on January 12, 2024.

In response to concerns raised by faculty members regarding their non-appearance on the institution’s login after applying, the PCI has announced that the issue has been successfully resolved. An FAQ to this effect was issued on January 9, 2024.

Free Registration of Pharmacists on Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana Website

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is an initiative by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India. PMBI has started an initiative of registering pharmacists on its website. The aim of this exercise is to connect pharmacists with PACS employers and other applicants and to enable them to also become owners of PMBJK.

It is emphasized that waiting until the final moments may lead to server congestion, potentially causing delays in the application process. Exit Examination for D.Pharm Course for 2022-2024 Academic Session

The PCI has emphasised that the candidates who have been admitted in the 2022-2023 academic session for D.Pharm Course and who will pass out in 2023-2024 academic session will not be able to register as registered pharmacists until they fulfill certain criteria.
