NMC requests Verification of State Holidays from October to December 2023
This initiative aims to ensure that the academic and administrative calendars of medical institutions across the country are synchronized with the official State holidays, thus preventing any potential disruptions and ensuring the efficient functioning of medical education and healthcare services. he deadline for reporting any discrepancies or variations is set for the 7th November, 2023.
Special Stray Vacancy Round for NEET-UG 2023 Eligible Candidates Announced
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) has issued a notice of extension of the last date of admission for undergraduate courses and conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round for vacant MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota. This Special Stray Vacancy Round will be the final round for undergraduate courses for the academic year 2023.
NMC invites Bids for Selection of IT Project Management Unit
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has invited bids for selection of IT Project Management Unit for managing the development and deployment of Enterprise IT infrastructure. The project will consist of designing the technology roadmap, development of IT infrastructure and supporting of deployment.
Admissions in Medical Colleges for Postgraduate Medical Courses for the Academic Year 2023-24
One of the key requirements is that admissions to Postgraduate courses, including PG Diploma, MD/MS, DM, and M.Ch, must adhere to the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000. The Supreme Court has consistently emphasized the statutory and binding nature of these regulations in various rulings.
NMC issues Press Release on Counselling Schedule for Academic Session 2023-2024
The NMC has directed medical colleges to strictly adhere to the counselling schedule. Any counselling activities carried out outside this prescribed schedule will be regarded as invalid. This direction applies to all concerned stakeholders including the central and state authorities and medical colleges.
NMC holds its 11th Meeting to Elevate Medical Education
The NMC has a mandate to improve medical education in India and to meet at least once every 3 months. The present meeting was organised by the Policy and Coordination Division of the NMC.
NMC issues notice on Online Application for Eligibility Certificates
Interested candidates can submit their online applications from 16th October, 2023 from 9am onwards. The last date for submission of these applications is 25th October, 2023 at 6pm. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be summarily rejected.
NMC requests Bank Guarantees for Academic Year 2024-25 Medical College Applications
All educational institutions who have successfully submitted their applications for the establishment of new Medical Colleges, increase of MBBS seats, commencement of PG Courses, or expansion of PG seats for the Academic Year 2024-25 are required to submit the Bank Guarantees (BGs) by October 20, 2023.
