Centre Withholds National Health Mission Funds for West Bengal

The Centre has taken punitive actions in response to West Bengal choosing blue and white for the building colors, and the title “Susasthya Kendra” in the regional language alongside “Health & Wellness Centre” in English in contravention to the branding guidelines for AB-HWCs. The Centre has also raised concerns over West Bengal’s lack of participation in key government consultations and programs.

Pharmacy Council of India Designated as Aadhaar Authentication Authority

PCI can utilize Aadhaar authentication to verify the identities of officials, faculty, and students accessing its portal. The PCI can also employ Aadhaar authentication for capturing attendance of faculty members. This can be achieved through biometric verification using Yes/No responses or/and e-KYC authentication facilities.

AIIMS Bhopal Declared as a Centre of Excellence for Rare Diseases

This designation is in accordance with the National Policy for Rare Diseases (NPRD), 2021. AIIMS Bhopal will now function as a premier government tertiary hospital. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of rare diseases.
