Expression of Interest for Appointment of Knowledge Partner for Healthy and Hygienic Food Street Program
The primary objective of “Healthy and Hygienic Food Streets” is to elevate the hygiene conditions at all street food hubs, addressing not only the preparation but also the serving of food. Recognizing that the successful implementation of this project will require coordination with multiple stakeholders at the state and district levels, FSSAI has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from interested entities to provide technical support on the ground.
FSSAI updates its list of Recognised Food Testing Laboratories
The present list includes the validity of the laboratories’ NABL accreditation, scope of testing as on 28th August, 2023 for the purpose of carrying out the analysis of food samples taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and Rules and Regulations made thereunder.
FSSAI issues Bid for Hiring of Agency for IT Projects-Milestone basis
The Bid document was issued on 23rd August, 2023. The Bid provides the opening and closing date and time, contract period, minimum turnover requirements, years of past experience needed, and exemptions for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and startups.
Food Safety Standards and Initiatives Reviewed at 41st CAC Meeting
One of the recommendations made during the meeting was that food business operators (FBOs) would no longer be required to renew their licenses annually. Instead, licenses can now be issued for up to 5 years.
FSSAI appoints Designated Officers for Central Licensing
The Order specifies that the Designated Officers have been appointed for Central Licensing under the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.
