Updated List of Dental Colleges Defaulting on Anti-Ragging Measures

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has published updated lists of defaulting dental colleges on matters concerning anti-ragging as: List of defaulter Dental Colleges who have not conducted/uploaded Anti Ragging Orientation Program 2023-24 Report on DCI Anti Ragging Online Module and List of defaulter Dental Colleges who have not uploaded Anti Ragging Report, Oct 2023 on DCI Anti Ragging Online Module.

Deadline For Uploading Student Data on DCI Portal

DCI has stated that all dental colleges must upload the details of admitted students on the DCI website using their existing login credentials. The deadline for uploading student data is September 14, 2024 (midnight). Uploading data after this deadline will be considered a violation

DCI Announces NEET-MDS Counseling Schedule- 2024

The schedule outlines the key dates for admissions to MDS programs through All India Quota (AIQ), deemed and central universities, and state counselling. The detailed schedule includes specific dates for registration and payment, choice filling or locking, processing of seat allotment and sharing data on joined candidates between the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state authorities. The academic session for PG dental courses is set to begin on August 1, 2024.

April 2024 Anti-Ragging Report Of Dental Colleges

The report indicates a list of defaulter Dental Colleges who have not uploaded the Anti Ragging Report for April 2024 on DCI Anti Ragging Online Module. The list mentions a total of 31 dental colleges across the country who are defaulting in this respect. The said Anti Ragging Report was due from April 30, 2024.

Conduct Of MDS Final Year Exams Delayed Due to Pandemic

DCI emphasizes that the MDS program requires three full academic years of training. All universities offering MDS programs are instructed to adhere to the three-year timeframe. Final year exams cannot be conducted before the completion of the entire course duration.

NBEMS Fixes Date For Foreign Dental Screening Test

The FDST will be conducted on March 16, 2024. This test is for Indian citizens/ overseas citizens of India. The applicants must already possess primary dental qualifications awarded by dental institutions outside India.

Key Provisions of National Dental Commission Act, 2023 Enforced From February 29th

Among the key areas covered by these provisions are the establishment of the National Dental Commission, the determination of standards for dental education, the formation of Dental Advisory Council, establishment of Autonomous Boards, administrative actions and the formulation of guidelines for the recognition of dental institutions.

Government of India May Conduct Separate NEET-MDS Counselling for 2024

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has informed aspiring candidates for the NEET-MDS 2024 examination of a potential change in the counselling procedure. The Government of India is considering conducting counselling sessions for NEET-MDS separately and before the NEET PG Medical Counselling. A public notice to this effect was issued on March 4, 2024.
