The National Medical Commission (NMC) has launched an online survey to assess the mental health and well-being of medical students and faculty across India. A public notice was published on this survey dated April 26, 2024.
This initiative is undertaken by the NMC’s National Task Force on Mental Health and Well-being of Medical Students. The survey aims to gather data on the mental health experiences of both students and faculty within medical colleges.
All medical students and faculty are encouraged to participate in the online survey. The survey can be accessed through a Google Form.
The NMC assures participants that their identities will be kept confidential. The information collected will be used solely for analysis and recommendations within the Task Force’s report. The deadline for completing the survey is May 3, 2024.
This survey is a step towards understanding the mental health challenges faced by medical students and faculty. The NMC’s findings will help develop strategies to promote better mental well-being within the medical education system.
