The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) has published a Circular detailing the surveillance action for dealing with unsolicited videos and messages on social media. The Circular was issued on 17th April, 2023.
It may be recalled that the NSE had published a Circular dated 24th February, 2023, urging investors to exercise caution in dealing with unsolicited videos and messages on social media.
Hence, Annexure I of the present circular has shortlisted securities based on circular of videos and unusual price/ volume movement. The applicable surveillance action shall be similar to GSM stage IV. It shall be effective from 19th April, 2023.
Moreover, securities mentioned in Annexure II are eligible to move out from the said framework from 18th April, 2023.
