State Government of Tripura in its notification dated 16th April 2020 has declared that the services of officials working under the establishment of labour directorate in Tripura shall be treated as essential service.
The Labour Directorate officials are required to be present physically in offices for monitoring and supervising the well-being of the migrant workers working in brick kilns. But due to lockdown restrictions, the employees are regularly facing difficulties for reaching their office or going out in the field freely.
Therefore The State Government of Tripura has decided to declare Labour Directorate as an essential service rendering department.
