The Government of NCT Delhi through notification dated 18.06.2021 has issued “Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for implementation of the Sponsorship program, 2021”. It shall be applicable to a child dealt with under the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015. The Sponsorship program is aimed at preventing destitution of children and that the child remains in a enabling family environment through restoration from institutional care to family integration and supplementary support to the family. The program provides supplementary financial support to cater to the developmental needs and well-being of children dealt with under the Act.
