Bihar Legislative Council By-Election
As per notification, the by-election for the Tirhut Graduate Constituency of the Bihar Legislative Council will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024. To enable voters to participate, the Bihar government has issued directives granting special casual leave to eligible voters of the concerned constituency.
The notification signed by Additional Secretary to the Government of Bihar, refers to the provisions of Section 135-B of the Public Representation Act, 1951. This ensures government employees within the constituency can take leave to cast their votes without disrupting their official duties.
