The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has directions for State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) or Pollution Control Committees to carry out physical verification of Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs) registered on the EPR Portal. These directions were issued on 4th July, 2023.
The CPCB has issued the following directions:
- To completet physical verification of all registered PWPs in their jurisdictions by 7th July, 2023. This will enable PWPs to issue EPR certificates to PIBOs for fulfillment of EPR targets within specified timeframes
- To follow-up with PWPs whose physical verification has been completed within their jurisdictions to generate EPR Certificates for sales made in 2022-2023.
