The programme was conducted by Central Urban Housing Development Ministry Joint Secretary and Swatch bharat 2.0 director presided over the meeting regarding various programmes under the solid waste management in association with Greater Chennai Corporation. The programme was held in Ribon Building headquarters of the Greater Chennai Corporation in Chennai, by the date of 22.11.2023.
In this programme the discussion was about wet and dry waste management and also awareness programmes to educate people about solid waste management. Along with that they discussed about how to recycle long term stagnated waste management, removal of construction waste management and cleaning programme scheme. Joint Secretary of Central Urban Housing Development and Swatch bharat 2.0 director visited 100 metric tonne capacity wet waste recycle bio gas plant located at chetpet chennai and enquired about the functioning. Inspection was conducted in Urbaser Sumeet company’s vehicle control centre, perungudi waste separation under bio mining system, farm waste and coconut shells recycling centre. After the visit they gave suggestions and guidance to the employees.
