The Central Government has issued a notification modifying the terms and conditions of service for the Secretary of Coastal Aquaculture Authority. This notification was issued on 27th October, 2023.
The present notification states that the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) Government of India shall appoint the Secretary of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority on deputation. This appointment shall be made through the Central Staffing Scheme. The Secretary shall at least possess the rank of Joint Secretary to Government of India.
Some additional terms of service are as follows:
- The appointment shall initially be for a period of 3 years
- Such appointment may be extended for a further period up to 3 years
- The combined period shall not exceed 6 Years
- If the Secretary attains the age of superannuation while on deputation as Secretary his tenure shall be co-terminus with the date of superannuation.
