The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has developed a Self Assessment Form to be filled by every hospital, hotels, schools etc in the city to ease the task of assessment.
Swachh Survekshan is an annual exercise conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, to determine the cleanest city ranking of all cities in India.
The GHMC has divided the city into 30 circles. The parameters of the Self Assessment Forms are modeled following the parameters of Swachh Survekshan. For the purpose of assessment, the following four primary categories have been identified:
- Segregation of Waste
- Collection and Transportation of Waste
- Civic Engagement
- Safety and Monitoring.
GHMC has announced that all the hospitals, hotels, schools etc shall download Self-Assessment Form which is available in this website and shall be filled and submitted to the local circle office which will indicate their level of sanitation and also motivate them to perform better.
