SEBI has issued the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Merchant Bankers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 on November 29, 2024. The amendment provides that a merchant banker shall submit to the Board complete particulars of the transaction for acquisition of securities of a body corporate whose issue is managed by that merchant banker, within fifteen days from the date of entering into such a transaction.
Complete particulars of a transaction for acquisition of securities pursuant to underwriting or market making obligations in accordance with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018 shall be submitted to the Board on a quarterly basis.
