SEBI vide circular 17th May, 2024 has issued the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024. The amendment provides that applicability of the provisions of these regulations to a listed entity on the basis of market capitalization shall be determined based on ranking.
Every recognized stock exchange shall, at the end of the calendar year i.e., 31st December, prepare a list of entities that have listed their specified securities ranking such entities on the basis of their average market capitalization from 1st July to 31st December of that calendar year.
