The Securities and Exchange Board of India in its public notice dated 31st October 2020 has extended the one-time settlement scheme till 31st December 2020 for entities that executed reversal of trades in the stock options segment of the BSE during 2014 and 2015.
The settlement scheme was introduced in July 2020, commenced on August 1, 2020, and was supposed to end on October 31, 2020.
However, amidst the disruption caused by the pandemic, Sebi received many representations seeking extension of the period of the scheme, therefore upon consideration of the same, the competent authority has approved the extension of the period of the scheme till 31st December 2020.
