The Securities and Exchange Board of India vide its notification dated 25th February 2022 has granted relaxation in time period for certain activities, including handling investor grievances and SCORES complaint and processing of demat requests.
The Relaxation is given to intermediaries/market participant’s w.r.t.compliance with the prescribed timelines which has been extended to June 30, 2022 in view of the Covid19 situation. The aforesaid relaxation shall be applicable to processing of remat request, tramission request, request for issue of duplicate share certificates, request for name deletion/name change, processing of demat request etc.
Further the intermediaries/market participants may take an additional 30 days over the prescribed timelines for completion of these service requests.
