SEBI directs custodians and DDPs to publish investor charter and disclose monthly data on complaints.

The Securities and Exchange board of India vide its notification dated 17th December 2021 directed custodians and designated depository participants (DDPs) to publish investor charters on their websites and make disclosures about complaints received by them. They are required to disclose monthly data on complaints received and their remedies on their respective websites latest by 7th of succeeding month.

Sebi has requested custodians and DDPs to bring the charter “to the notice of their clients and ensure that the Investor Charter is prominently displayed on their respective website for ease of accessibility of investors”.The Charter notifies the timelines pertaining to various services provided by custodian/DDPs and the grievance redressal mechanism.
