Scope of ESI Act, 1948 extended to Kalahandi district in the State of Odisha

The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide notification dated 23rd August, 2022, has made certain provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 applicable to Kalahandi district in the State of Odisha.. Following provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 has come into force in all the areas of Kalahandi district in the State of Odisha:

1. Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and sections 45A to 45H Chapter IV : The chapter deals with the contribution made to the employee.
2. Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V: The chapter deals with Benefits provides to the employees covered under the Act.
3. Chapter VI which deals with Adjudication of Dispute and Claims.
