Government of Tamil Nadu has entered into an MOU with Microsoft to impart knowledge about artificial intelligence to school students. Microsoft TEALS program has been introduced for the first time in the country to train teachers and students in artificial intelligence. This Notification was published on the date of 14.01.2024.
A Separate Policy for artificial intelligence was developed in Tamil Nadu in 2020. This happened before National Educational Policy was formulated. Intensive training will be given to students on intelligence and machine learning in the future.
