The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) celebrated its ruby jubilee on November 15, 2023. This event marked 40 years since AERB’s establishment in 1983.
As the national regulatory authority entrusted with enforcing nuclear and radiation safety regulations in the country, AERB has evolved into an organization of both international and national acclaim.
During the event prominent figures of the Indian nuclear community shared their reflections on the remarkable progress witnessed by AERB over the past four decades.
Additionally, some of the AERB Board members along with other luminaries, expressed their satisfaction with AERB’s achievements. The event provided an opportunity for introspection and discussions on the transformation the organization has undergone during its forty-year journey.
In his concluding remarks, the Chairman of AERB, conveyed the organization’s readiness to face future challenges, “With fortified beliefs and a renewed perspective, AERB is well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead” he remarked. The Chairman also expressed confidence in AERB’s capabilities to address future regulatory demands in the field of nuclear and radiation safety.
